Our beauty routine should change with the seasons because each one brings new challenges our way, and our nails are definitely a part of the equation. Cold and windy winter days can be harsh on your nails, so it’s important to give them some extra care during this season – and we’re here to show you how.
Hand Creams & Oils
You’ll struggle to keep your nails strong and healthy this winter if you don’t moisturize your hands properly. Take a hand cream with you everywhere you go, ideally one rich in natural oils, such as jojoba or avocado oil. Using cuticle oil is highly recommended during this season, especially if you’re constantly dealing with damaged and broken nails.
Hand Protection
It’s easier to keep your nails in good condition if you’re trying to protect them from the outside factors. Don’t forget to wear gloves when you go outside, especially when it’s super cold and windy, and remember to protect your hands when you’re cleaning and doing chores around your house.
Avoid Long Nails
The shorter your nails are, the easier it will be to keep them in good shape, especially during cold winter days. Excessive details, such as rhinestones, charms, and pearls, are also best avoided because they might get caught on fabric and fall off, leading to potential damage.
