We can count on Netflix to drop a bunch of new movies as soon as the holiday season arrives, and they didn’t disappoint this year. Whether you’re in the mood for a brand-new rom-com or an animated film to watch with your entire family, we’re bringing you five new releases worth checking out.
Meet Me Next Christmas (November 6)
Netflix kicked off the holiday season with Meet Me Next Christmas, which stars Christina Milian as a woman trying to reunite with a man of her dreams at a sold-out Christmas concert in New York.
Hot Frosty (November 13)
Mean Girls star Lacey Chabert leads this rom-com about a grieving widow learning how to heal and find love again after magically bringing a snowman to life.
Our Little Secret (November 27)
Another rom-com led by a Mean Girls star, Our Little Secret sees Lindsay Lohan play a woman who must spend Christmas with her resentful ex after it turns out their current partners happen to be siblings.
The Merry Gentlemen (November 20)
Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray lead this holiday rom-com about a Broadway dancer who decides to help her parents save their small-town performing venue by staging an all-male Christmas show.
That Christmas (December 4)
This animated movie takes place during the worst snowstorm in history that ruins everyone’s Christmas plans. It was co-written by Richard Curtis and features a series of entwined tales about love, loneliness, family, and friendship – just like his holiday classic Love Actually.
