There’s nothing wrong with texting your former friends and partners if you’re genuinely worried about them, but you have to dig deep inside yourself and figure out if this is the real reason. If you’re just looking for someone to talk to and pass the time, there are much better people to fulfill that role.

Refresh Your Memory

If you’re the kind of person who tends to cling on the good parts of past relationships, now’s the time to remember the bad. It’s perfectly fine to reach out to someone who treated you right, but don’t go texting people who never deserved your time of the day in the first place.

Occupy Your Time

At the end of the day, you’ll have to be honest with yourself and face the possibility you’re texting your ex out of pure boredom. There are much better ways to occupy your time, so work on yourself and other lasting relationships in your life, not the ones that came to an end for a reason.
