Most people could not imagine their lives without a car. It is essential for people to get to and from work, to social activities, and more. However, for a lot more people it can actually be a reality. If you’re on the fence on whether you could give up your car or not, consider these ideas.

Public Transit

Even if you don’t live in a big city, most every place has public transit. While it may not be frequent, it’s actually probably better than you can imagine. To test it out, trying going a few days to your regular places or even work with public transit and see if it can be done.

Fees

Not only are cars very expensive on their own, but they have a lot of fees to maintain them. You have to pay for car insurance, put up money for things like oil changes and other maintenance fees, and of course, pay for gas.

Health

If you chose to fully or even partially rely on other modes of transportation, such as walking or cycling, you will see a drastic change in your health, both mentally and physically. Studies have shown that it’s not only dangerous to drive cars, but it can adversely effect your health.
