Are you ready to give your lips some love with ingredients you can actually pronounce? Let’s turn your kitchen into a mini-lab and make some organic lip balm. It’s easy, fun, and only takes three ingredients. Here’s how you can pamper your pout with something homemade and nourishing.

  • 1 tablespoon of beeswax
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter

  1. Before you start, you’ll need a small pot or double boiler, a spoon or stirring stick, and containers for your finished lip balm. Lip balm tubes or small jars work well for storage.
  2. Place the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter in your pot or double boiler over low heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is completely melted and well combined.
  3. Once melted, carefully pour the mixture into your prepared containers. If you want to add a bit of flavor or scent, now is the time to add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or edible flavor oil (like peppermint or vanilla). Mix it in quickly before the balm starts to set.
  4. Allow the lip balm to cool and solidify at room temperature.
  5. Once solid, cap your containers and label them if you like.
