DIY Sunburn Lotion to Soothe Your Skin

It can happen to anyone to get a little bit sun-kissed, in spite of the fact that you’ve used a ton of sun protecting cream. The red skin, heat, and unpleasant feeling can be really excruciating. To soothe the skin, we recommend that you try this DIY sunburn lotion. It’s completely made with natural ingredients.

Ingredients:

To prepare the sunburn lotion you should get 1 cup shea butter, 1/3 cup coconut oil, 1/8 cup beeswax, 20 drops lavender essential oil, 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel, 1/4 cup grapeseed oil. As an alternative for the grapeseed oil, you can use olive, almond or even avocado.

Instructions:

You will need a pot, heat-proof bowl a blender, and a container to prepare the sunburn lotion. Fill the pot with 2” water and wait for it to boil. Now, fill the heat-proof glass with coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, and grapeseed oil. Put it on top of the pot. Wait for it to simmer and leave it like that for 10 to 15 minutes.

When it’s melted, take it away from the stove and you can pour in the lavender oil and aloe vera. Mix the ingredients well together. Once you’re done, put the lotion in the freezer for half an hour. Then transfer it to a blender until you get a creamy consistency.
