A lot of people don’t necessarily think about having a set nighttime skincare routine since nobody sees our skin at night so what’s the point of doing it up all the way? But, the reality is that your skin needs a lot of care at night not only to recover from the day but to prep your face for the day ahead. This skincare routine is something everyone should be doing every night before bed to maintain healthy skin.
The first step to your routine is to take off any makeup that you have on during the day. You can do this with makeup remover, coconut water, or micellar water. Then, apply a gentle cleanser to wash your face with lukewarm water. Pat your face gently with a towel to get it dry, but don’t be too rough! If you feel like your pores could be tighter, follow up with a toner like rose water, which smells amazing and is natural.
After the beginning steps, you can now exfoliate your skin. You only need to do this a few times a week, so don’t go crazy on your face. Then, apply a face serum if you have it, or just put on some moisturizer. Put eye creme under your eyes and you’re ready for bed!
