The microwave is one of our favorite kitchen appliances, because it gets our food nice and warm in no time. There are still some things you should never put inside it, because they’re a secret safety hazard.

Hard-Boiled Eggs

Unless you want your hard-boiled eggs to explode and make a huge mess inside your microwave, it’s best not to put them inside.

Frozen Meat

Defrosting meat by using a microwave may seem like a genius hack at first, but it’s actually not recommended. Heat won’t be evenly distributed and the middle will likely still stay frozen.

Broccoli

Broccoli is one of the healthiest vegetables on the market, but if you heat it up inside a microwave, most of its healthy nutrients will be destroyed.

Tomato Sauce

If you want to enjoy delicious red sauce pasta, opt for heating the sauce up on the stove, because it won’t do any favors to your microwave, and you’ll spend forever cleaning it up.
