For all the fans out there, who are anxiously waiting for the final season of Game of Thrones, we have some great news. It looks like we have one more thing to look forward to this spring before the final season premieres on April 14.
Two weeks ago, Oreo released a new video advertisement on Instagram, in which the word Oreo transformed into the series’ hashtag, #ForTheThrone. In the caption, the company promised that “cookies are coming”.
For those who said that the teaser was somewhat vague, Nabisco, the company that makes Oreos, confirmed to PEOPLE that we will be eating Game of Thrones cookies before the season 8 premiere.
Instagram food accounts CandyHunting and TheJunkFoodAisle were the first to leak photos of the limited-edition cookies. You can see that CandyHunting wrote that these are “just normal Oreos in a redesigned package. No, these are not exclusive to a particular store.”
This is not the first partnership for famous cookie brand – Oreo recently collaborated with XBox, Jeep, and Mickey Mouse. So teaming up with the world’s most famous TV show is not surprising, after all.
If you can recall, the actors of *Game of Thrones* promised us a “bittersweet ending” of the show – maybe this is what they were talking about.
