Hair Myths You Should Forget About Right Now

We all want to have gorgeous, healthy hair, which is why we often tend to listen to all kinds of hair care advice. The fact is that most of them are actually very far from the truth.

Here are three myths about hair care you should forget about immediately.

The more you brush your hair, the healthier it will be

This is one of the biggest myths out there. If you’re brushing your hair as often as you can, know that this could do more harm than good, because you can easily damage your hair’s cuticle. Running a brush through your hair twice a day should be more than enough.

Dying your hair is unhealthy

It is true that bleaching is one the worst things you can do to your hair and you can easily damage it if you’re not careful. Hair color removal is also very unhealthy, as it makes your hair thinner, but dying your hair isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Adding color to your hair can actually make it look better and thicker.

Switching shampoos is good for your hair

This is neither here nor there. Switching your shampoo will probably refresh your hair because they all have different effects. The fact that you like the feeling doesn’t mean you should change your shampoo on a regular basis. We still have no proof that this can do any good for hair.
