How often do you replace your bath towel? If you’re like most people, you do it every week, but that may not be often enough.
Even though your body is clean after a shower, that doesn’t mean the towel you use will stay clean for long. Its purpose is to collect the excess water and dead skin cells from your body so it’s actually a great place for bacteria to live and spread. Another thing you may have not considered: how far away is your toilet from the place where you hang towels? Most bathrooms aren’t too big so you should take all this into account.
These factors are probably enough to make you realize that you should take a little better care of your towels. First, hang them after use so they can dry completely. Next, wash them after 2-3 uses using warm/hot water and detergent. If you ever notice an odd smell, that means the towel needs to be washed immediately.
