How to Protect Curly Hair from Heat Damage

As women, we often want what we don’t have. Girls with naturally straight hair want to curl it, while those who were born with gorgeous curls want to have their hair straight from time to time. As curly hair tends to be dry, too, you need to be extra cautious when straightening it if you don’t want to damage it.

If you often straighten your curly hair, you will quickly realize that your curls don’t look the same anymore, which will likely lead you to keep straightening it more and more. Prolonged heat affects the hair structure and makes it weaker and fragile. What can you do to prevent this?

If you absolutely must use a hair straightener, make sure your hair is protected with silicones. Wash your hair with a protein shampoo and use a leave-in conditioner for added care.
