Sitting around for long periods of time is one of those bad habits that modern age has brought with it. Most modern jobs require from us that we sit at a desk for many hours, day by day.

Even if you don’t feel the consequences of this lifestyle right away, back pain and other health issues will remind you that you have to do something about this at some point.

One of the ways you can help your body fight the physical problems you might have from sitting still all day is stretching.

Stretching is not reserved only for priming yourself before a workout, it’s a great, simple way to awake and prepare your body for the day. We stretch before a workout because we want to prevent injuries, but these injuries can happen during everyday activities as well.

If you make stretching part of your morning routine, you’ll prevent the pain in your muscles, improve circulation and increase your flexibility. You’ll notice that stretching has many more benefits and you’ll increase your productivity and overall health.
