After conquering the world of fashion and designing amazing gowns for some of the most influential women in the world, Jason Wu decided to embark on an extremely surprising creative adventure – he just designed his first sofa collection for furniture brand Interior Define.
The famous designer worked alongside Interior Define’s team from the first sketch to the finished product, and it took them about a year to finalize the entire collection. He hand-picked his favorite fabric and finish customization, making sure they perfectly reflect his vision.
Wu’s main goal was to pay homage to the glamour of the ‘50s, without risking comfort and quality, but still stay rooted in the current day.
“I wanted to reference one of my favorite eras, which is the ‘40s and ‘50s, but with a modern spin. I wanted to create a new classic. This is something you are invested in, something you want to live with for a very long time,” explained Wu in a statement.
