Makeup a Murder is an indie beauty brand obsessed with the morbid.
The brand was created by the makeup artist Theresa Spencer, who uses her Instagram account to share makeup tutorials. During these tutorials, she often makes references to crime, gore and all things morbid, so the cosmetics brand won’t have come as a total surprise to her fans.
The colorful collection includes neon pigments in cute little “poison” bottles and eyeshadows in forensic lab test tubes. The collection may be morbid, but it’s ethically conscious and is 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
The collection is the perfect gift for horror fans and cosmetic lovers. Ultimately, it’s playful and colorful, with more neon shimmer than actual fake blood. It’s definitely on our radar for Halloween after seeing some of the looks on the Makeup a Murder Instagram page.
