Most Stunning Attractions in Monterey for Fans of “Big Little Lies”

HBO gave us one of their most star-studded dramas to date with Big Little Lies, but the city of Monterey where this series was filmed still managed to steal the show.

Here’s a couple of places we fell in love with while following the adventures of the Monterey Five that you can visit in real life.

Garrapata Beach

Monterey is located in California, so it’s not really surprising to see our favorite characters hanging out by the ocean all the time. Several stunning beaches ended up being featured on the show, but none of them compares to Garrapata.

Paluca Trattoria

Old Fisherman’s Wharf is home to many of Monterey’s most charming cafés and restaurants, including Paluca Trattoria. Madeline and her beasties are hanging out here all the time, but you may not be familiar with the name since masterminds behind this show renamed it to Blues Café.

Bixby Creek Bridge

This amazing arch bridge is one of Big Sur’s most picture-perfect attractions. It doesn’t come as a surprise that Big Little Lies showrunners saw it as the perfect backdrop for the opening sequence, and used it many times throughout the show.
