Nordic White Hair is So Much Lighter Than Platinum

Emilia Clarke in "Game of Thrones"

Platinum hair has been on our radar for some time now and Emilia Clarke has had us envying her locks since season one. Now though, even more platinum is here and it’s called “Nordic White”.

The hair color’s name is inspired by the snow white hues of Scandinavia. The shade removes all brassy tones from the hair and creates a shade that is so white, it is worthy of its own title.

Unfortunately, you have to have pretty light hair already to be able to pull off this bold shade without wrecking your hair.

A hair stylist told Pretty 52: “I only take clients who are a level 7 (lightest brunettes) and above for my #NordicWhite hair. Girls who are level 5 and below will have a longer more intensive lighting journey, risking the hairs integrity.

“Lighter haired clients once lightened to a level 11 won’t go back to a yellow tone or undesired warm tones. Dark haired girls will always go back to a warmer unpleasant tone.”

If you have brunette hair and want this shade, it might be best to opt for a wig because the risk is too high. Even if your hairdresser says they can do it, make sure you do your research before committing to the bleach.

And if your hair is a suitable color to go this shade, here are some more luscious Nordic White pics for inspiration.
