Most of us spend a lot of time commuting on a daily basis, and thinking about how much time we lose in a car or on the train can be pretty stressful. However, you can also use commute to your advantage and turn it into a fun and productive time. Here’s how.
Search for Inspiration
Whether you like to observe people or beautiful landscapes around you, keep your ears and eyes open for new inspiring things. If you like writing, for example, observing people while on a train can be a great starting point for a new story.
Get smarter
Use this time for mental enrichment by listening to audiobooks, podcasts or new music, or you can choose to read your favorite newspaper or a book.
Socialize
If you’re traveling with an acquaintance or a colleague, use this time to socialize and bond by choosing an interesting topic to discuss. You can also chat with a random person sitting next to you on the train.
Plan your day
Organization is the key to being productive, so use your commute to plan your daily schedule and set your goals. It’s certainly more productive than gazing into the distance or taking a nap.
