Set Your 2020 Fitness Goals

2019 was all about the celebrity workout and how you can have the Jennifer Lopez abs or Kim Kardashian’s booty. 2020, however, is about You, working on your goals, your strength, and your level of fitness.

Take some time each week to focus on yourself.  Each workout you do should be mindful, you should focus on yourself and the time you have dedicated to doing this. Stop checking your steps or calorie counter, focus on what are doing for your body. Each workout is also a great time for you to step away from your busy work schedule and have some quiet time. Follow a program and do each exercise with a purpose.

Take it back to basics. Whatever you think you know, you could always use a refresher session. Whether you want to improve your squat technique or open up your hips. Do some mobility exercises and see how much your body responds and your posture improves.

“Hip hip hooray” 😁 is how I feel after a good hip opening session (details in story) You know that phrase “hips don’t lie” – they don’t! Hips might not literally hold emotion, but when you release the tension and stiffness building up in your hips, it does feel like a release in emotion. Personally, I feel lighter – physically, mentally, and emotionally. :::: Recently, I’ve been working more on hip opening and to revisit some ways to work towards legs behind the head. Here are some of my go-to hip stretches along with progressions and modifications in the videos (some of these can be deep, so please practice with compassion). Share and save this guide with anyone (which i think is everyone) who could use a good hip opening session! Hope you enjoy these as much as I do! ♥️ Any requests? Do not workout every day, your body needs a rest. When you put your body in panic mode to lose weight it will only resist. Your body needs those days off, to recover and relax from the hard workouts you did.
