2018 has seen an influx of new and recurring trends from seasonal sequins to cowboy boots. When it comes to jewelry though, this beachy trend caught us off guard.
This year, shell embellished accessories began popping up all over the fashion world. From shell earrings to shell bracelets and necklaces, all of Instagram’s top influences showed off something made out of the things you used to pick up on the beach when you were a kid.
Of course, the fashion trend is significantly more sophisticated than the shell bracelets we used to make with our moms. They’re chic and summery and they are most definitely not made of plastic.
With this trend, summer never has to end although, to be honest, we’re sort of hoping this trend is left behind in 2019. Some of the looks this year were seriously cute though!
