Sparkling water is a nice refreshing treat if you want a break from still water. However, it isn’t actually as healthy as you might think. All carbonated waters are actually acidic, whereas regular water is not acidic at all. That means that although it isn’t as bad for as sodas and other drinks, it still has the same level of acidity as orange juice. If you love sparkling water and want to learn more, read on.

Club Soda vs. Seltzer

A lot of people think club soda and seltzer is the same thing, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Seltzer is just simply water with added carbonation to it while club soda is a mixture of carbonated water, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, and potassium sulfate, which gives it it’s flavor. This makes club soda actually have a good amount of sodium, so watch out.

Sparkling Mineral Water

This type of water is classified by being found underground where it has gone through a system of rocks that has given it some mineral content. Sodium, or salt, can also be found in this kind of water, so watch out. Also, some types are naturally carbonated, and others are chemically carbonated, so do your research.
