Steven Spielberg’s remake of West Side Story is currently making waves in theaters and receiving some major Oscar buzz, and Rachel Zegler is its shining star. She impressed us with her acting and singing abilities in this movie, but she’s also slaying every red carpet event that she attends.
Zegler may be a new fashion star on our radar, but her style is already well-defined. At the majority of her recent red carpet events, including the premiere of West Side Story in NYC and LA, she hit the red carpet in dramatic ball gowns that look straight out of a fairy tale.
It’s only fitting that Zegler has a soft spot for princess gowns since we’ll soon get to see her play one. She’s been cast as Snow White in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake, and her pearl white Elie Saab dress from West Side Story’s NYC premiere got us super-excited to see her in this role.
Zegler works closely with celebrity stylist Sarah Slutsky and cites Nina Park as her favorite makeup artist. In addition to Elie Saab, we’ve also seen her wear dresses by everyone from Zuhair Murado to Christian Dior. Despite her affinity for dramatic gowns, Zegler is a little bit more low-key off the red carpet, and she seems to be a huge fan of denim and little black dresses.
