Putting your clothes inside a dryer requires no effort at all. Line drying, on the other hand, will keep you active – especially if you’re doing it outside. Studies have shown you can burn almost 70 calories after 15 minutes of hanging laundry or removing it from the line.

Fresh Clothes

This drying technique can enhances freshness and help remove strong odors from your clothes. It can also prolong life span of your favorite items because it’s much gentler on clothing than a dryer and it will never cause irreversible damage to your favorite shirts and pants.

Clothesline! •••• I know I recently posted about line drying clothes, but I just get so much enjoyment out of it that I want to talk about it again. At home, I use two drying racks, the backs of chairs, and a series of hangers. At the family cottage, I'm living the dream with a clothesline off the back porch. •••• Line drying outdoors is a great way to spruce (or in my case today, pine) up your textiles with fresh air and sunshine. Clothes may be a bit stiff when you bring them in, but they last longer. And I've said it before, but honestly, setting up the laundry to dry is good for my mental health.
