Food storage is very important if you want to keep your produce good for as long as possible. A lot of people tend to store these items in the pantry and they are making a big mistake.

Coconut Oil

If you want the coconut oil to be useful for as long as possible, the fridge is the place it needs to be stored.

Jam

The first thing you’ll read on a jar of jam is that after you open it, it should go straight into the fridge. If not, you are risking mold, especially if the room temperature is high.

Maple Syrup

This is a trick that is especially important for 100% pure maple syrup. If you are getting products that have a low percentage of maple syrup in them, you don’t have to follow the rule blindly. But with the 100% pure product, make sure that you place it in the fridge. If not, you will notice mold very soon.

Bananas

Keeping the bananas in the pantry will only make them ripen faster. If you actually what to achieve that, you can leave them there. But to prolong the life of these fruit, place them in the fridge.

Parisians will not cook a frozen meal from the grocery store, but rather a simple meal from fresh basic ingredients. Here are 10 things they always have in their kitchens (or pick up on their way home from work).

Eggs

They are not a common choice for breakfast, but rather for lunch or dinner. They can be boiled and used in salads and sandwiches or fried with veggies.

Baguette

A fresh baguette is a must with every meal and they don’t even think about processed or sliced options.

Dijon Mustard

How do you give food flavor without adding too many unnecessary calories? With dijon mustard!
