To reduce clutter in your home and life, it’s crucial to stop bringing new things home and there are several ways you can do that. For example:

  • Cancel the subscriptions to the magazines you can read online.
  • Unsubscribe from newsletters.
  • Apply for receiving your bills and bank statements through email instead of through paper mail.
  • Make a budget for shopping and stick to it.
  • Whenever you buy something, you must throw something out.
  • Ask your friends and family not to give you any physical gifts for birthdays or holidays.

]]> Freshly cut flowers can make your apartment feel so nice, but we hate it when they turn bad after just a few days. Whether you received a bouquet from a special someone or bought one for yourself, here’s how to make it last longer.

There are many tricks and tactics that apply to different flowers. Some will naturally last longer in a vase than the others. If you can choose, opt for roses, lilies, or sunflowers. Lilacs, tulips, and daffodils will probably last shorter than you want no matter what you do.

Cut the Stems

When you get the flowers, cut their stems at an angle that will allow them to absorb more water. This will also prevent the plant from sticking to the bottom of the vase.

Remove Excess Leaves

Remove all the leaves that would otherwise end up below the water surface to prevent bacteria growth.

There are many tricks and tactics that apply to different flowers. Some will naturally last longer in a vase than the others. If you can choose, opt for roses, lilies, or sunflowers. Lilacs, tulips, and daffodils will probably last shorter than you want no matter what you do.

Cut the Stems

When you get the flowers, cut their stems at an angle that will allow them to absorb more water. This will also prevent the plant from sticking to the bottom of the vase.

Remove Excess Leaves

Remove all the leaves that would otherwise end up below the water surface to prevent bacteria growth.
