The post Style Star on the Rise: “The Litte Mermaid” Sensation Halle Bailey appeared first on Beautiful Trends Today.
]]>Bailey is serving major mermaidcore vibes during this promo tour, delivering stunning looks inspired by the marine life that would put Ariel herself to shame. From a Valdrin Sahiti gown in LA that perfectly captured the colors of a mermaid’s shimmering tail to a beaded Miss Sohee gown with seashell motifs in London, Bailey’s recent fashion choices are a gift that keeps on giving.
What impressed us the most about her The Little Mermaid press tour is her dedication to fully honor her character. She embraced white and aquamarine tones and opted for outfits with tons of pearly and shell details in an attempt to evoke life under the sea.
It’s not a surprise to see Halle Bailey slay, and her star in the fashion world has slowly been rising even before she started promoting The Little Mermaid. She also brought mermaidcore vibes to the Oscars and the Met Gala this year, and she’s been enjoying her style evolution as much as the rest of us.
“I didn’t have to think about my style before and now it’s a moment in time for me to find out what I like to wear… I’m loving it all, and it’s exciting having designers dress me for all these shoots, red carpets, and premieres. It’s like a real fairy tale,” she told Vogue Arabia.

]]>Russell gave us one of the chicest press tours in recent memory while promoting Luca Guadagnino’s cannibal love story. She attended several fall festivals alongside her co-star Timothée Chalamet and managed to overshadow him each time despite being a relative newcomer in Hollywood.
Russell’s fashion evolution was a joy to watch, and she managed to make it to the best-dressed list each time despite the fact her stylist Ryan Hastings is pretty press-shy. That didn’t stop him from working with the likes of Rooney Mara and Vanessa Kirby, and he’s now busy helping Russell establish herself as a budding fashion star.
From corseted Schiaparelli look in London to the green Balenciaga gown with bow tie details in Venice, Russell is incapable of making fashion mistakes. She seems to have a preference for classic black outfits, so she’s playing it pretty safe so far, but we’re looking forward to her taking more fashion risks as time goes by.

]]>Carey kicked off the press tour at Comic-Con to win a royal blue ensemble consisting of a sheer crochet top and wide-leg pants, and things just got better from there. Her style is peak Gen-Z, and she’s not scared of taking risks despite being a newcomer in Hollywood.
She attended the LA premiere in a Givenchy two-piece with thigh-high leather boots that proved to be pretty polarizing but opted for a classier approach in London where she hit the red carpet in a red Fendi couture dress.
We’re looking forward to more of her fashion experiments in the future, and she owes her status of a rising style star to her stylist Zadrian Smith, who helped her prepare for her very first major press tour.
“The looks that he prepared for me on this tour blew my mind, they were everything that I’d asked for and more… I don’t like anything too hyperfeminine; I like things with an edge to them. And I think we pulled that off with every single look,” Carey told WWD.

]]>The Chinese actress looks like a real-life princess every time she hits the red carpet, and she’s definitely one of the rising style stars we should keep an eye on.
Yifei first rocked our world at the world premiere of Mulan in Los Angeles, where she hit the red carpet in a stunning Elie Saab gown in a beautiful golden shade. Shimmering strapless dress came with one of the longest trains we’ve seen recently, but it perfectly fit the occasion.
Celebrity stylist Samantha McMillen also helped Yifei pick the perfect dress for the London premiere of the new Disney movie. She impressed us with another Elie Saab number, but opted for a black lace and a subtle floral print this time around.
These looks got us excited for her future red carpet appearances, and we’re sure she has a lot more in store.

]]>Ackie scored her first major role when she starred alongside Florence Pugh in Lady Macbeth, but it took her some time to secure her own place in the spotlight. 2019 has really been her year, as she starred on the new season of The End of the F***ing World, in addition to joining one of the biggest franchises in the world.
The Star Wars actress works closely with celebrity stylist Nicky Yates, whose collaborators also include fellow British stars, Felicity Jones and Clair Foy. The duo made a series of pretty amazing choices together, and we’ve seen this rising star wear designs by Victoria Beckham and Stella McCartney along the way.
Naomi Ackie is still new to Instagram – she joined the platform earlier this year – but her personal style seems to be equally impressive as her red carpet outfits. She’s a huge fan of power suits, bold cutouts, and fun prints, and we’re looking forward to seeing how her style evolves in the future.

]]>Charlie’s Angels is her first major Hollywood project, but her red carpet looks make it seem like she’s been doing this forever. The up-and-coming actress has no trouble channeling old Hollywood glamour, but her casual looks are equally impressive.
Ella Balinska disused her approach to fashion with Nordstrom, and admitted she lives by the motto “If it makes you feel good, wear it!” That’s one thing she has in common with her Charlie’s Angels character Jane Kano.
“She’s always wearing something that has some sort of practical advantage to it, and that’s definitely something that I incorporate into my style,” explained the young actress.
Balinska also revealed she admires Jaden Smith’s style because he enjoys experimenting with different shapes and getting inspiration from different cultures. We can’t wait to see her embracing that same approach to fashion as the years go by.

]]>The rise of Zazie Beetz was a long time coming since she’s in no way a Hollywood newcomer. After getting her big break on Atlanta alongside Donald Glover, she played Domino in Deadpool 2, but had the opportunity to star in a couple of art-house projects this year, and really hit the film festival circuit.
Beetz brought a breath of fresh air to the red carpet in Venice while promoting her new movies Seberg and Joker. They’re both set to make their way to Toronto Film Festival later this month, alongside her next movie Lucy in the Sky, and we can’t wait to see the looks that Beetz has in store for this event.
If her outings in Venice proved anything, it’s that she has a very bold, unique and offbeat fashion sense and that we can always expect the unexpected when she hits the red carpet.
Check out some of her previous looks, and gear up for what comes next… We’re sure it’s going to be amazing!

]]>Browning started seeing fashion as a means of expression at a very young age and tried to find a balance between clothes her mom picked out for her and stuff she saw other kids wearing during her school years.
“I do think a lot of my identity and fashion was built back then because I was seeing so many different kinds of people and different classes of people and how they would wear and work with what they had,” said Browning in an interview with Refinery 29.
The young actress has been perfecting her fashion game ever since Dear White People transformed her into an overnight sensation, but she’s still growing and learning. Browning believes it’s still not possible to put her in the box because she’s open to trying different things – and we’re ready for her future fashion experiments.
Check out some of her best looks, and see why she caught our eye with her amazing fashion choices.

]]>His style has always been pretty remarkable, but he caught the eye of the entire world in the last few months after a series of his red carpet looks made the headlines.
Porter has been one of the most celebrated Broadway stars for years but only broke into the mainstream after being cast in Ryan Murphy’s series Pose. He became a household name thanks to this breakthrough performance and attended all the major award ceremonies this year – looking mind-blowing each time.
What impressed us about Porter’s style is his courage to constantly break away from the boring black tie dress code that most male celebrities follow. Whether it’s wearing a black tuxedo gown at the Oscars or being literally carried into the Met Gala dressed like an Egyptian Good, Porter is constantly turning heads, serving looks and pushing boundaries.
Check out some of his most epic looks to date, and keep an eye on his Instagram feed since it’s just a matter of time before he breaks the internet with another shocking outfit!

]]>Musgraves has been around for years and found success with her very first studio album in 2013, but it took a while for the rest of the world to take notice. All hell broke loose after she won the album of the year award at this year’s Grammys, and she can’t go anywhere without getting noticed ever since.
Musgraves attended countless red carpet events, performed at Coachella and made her Met Gala debut in the months to come. She repeatedly made it to the best-dressed lists of the most respectable fashion publications on the market, thanks to stylist Erica Cloud, who knew exactly what to do with this country star.
“There is something about her that is modern and current, and that’s the kind of line we like to walk – not being kitschy and doing too much of a costume, but having a hint of something classic is never a bad thing,” explained Cloud while chatting with Fashionista.
