]]> Most of us who love reading are guilty of accumulating unread books. While reading is great, finding new books to add to the existing collection at home can sometimes be even more exciting. Did you know that this habit is so common that it has a name? In Japan, they call it tsundoku, and it’s defined as an act of collecting books without reading them.

Do you have a way of arranging your bookshelves? . . Happy Sunday everyone! We live in the time when minimalism is the leading trend, and yet, it seems like more and more people are into curating a big home library. Even though we have e-readers and digital editions of virtually any book out there, it seems like nothing can compare to the joy of holding a physical book and flipping through its pages. And let’s not forget that a personal library gives any home a soul!

Even though this Japanese term has a similar meaning as blbliomania, there’s a difference between them. Bibliomania is the intention to collect books, while tsundoku is the intention to read books and the collection is just a side effect.
