Machine made tattoos are not a thing of the past, but they definitely have some competition. Hand-poked tattoos, also referred to as stick-n-poke tattoos, date back to tribal times, and have an incredibly unique look.

Hand-poked tattoos are made just like the name suggests. A tattoo artist using ink and a simple needle, and with small pokes, creates a permanent design on your body. It takes a long time, meticulous work, and a well-thought-out design.

From far away, the tattoo looks like everything else, but up close, you can see the detail and hard work that went into it. Most stick-n-poke tattoos are done in black, gray, and white since color payoff on machine tattoos are much better.

When done by professional, stick-n-poke tattoos are safe. Make sure that your artist uses a sterilized needle, and gloves.
