Sylvie Facon is a French dressmaker who creates incredibly beautiful handcrafted dresses that would leave any fashion lover breathless. She personally crafts each detail on her dresses, which brings a gorgeous fairytale look to them.
Facon’s dresses are mostly inspired by history or everyday objects. Some of her dresses are named “Tribute to violin”, “Tribute to books” and “Tribute to the time”. She has a unique creative approach and personally works on her creations from start to finish.
“I build the corset bases with illusion tulles. It thus makes a molding of the body by adapting itself completely to each morphology. My objective is to highlight my clients’ assets that could be physical, but also their personality, and so make them even more beautiful”, said Facon in an interview.
The designer then spends hours painting her dresses, which can sometimes take two or three weeks. But it’s worth the effort, because her work leaves thousands of people speechless.
“It’s like a dream, with timeless dresses worn by ideal women and each have a different personality.”
