But, the Compton Health Bar is changing that and making the community better, stronger, and healthier. Though there is a lot of poverty in the city, the health bar is thriving because people trust in the owner and founder, Dani Solorio, because she is getting her customers results and not charging them an arm and a leg.
Dani Solorio began the business because she remembered how her grandmother used holistic medicine on her as a child, from both physical and emotional problems. She wanted to bring the spirit of healing to her community, so that was her driving force in the Compton Health Bar. The store sells a lot of super-food products, but customers are most interested in the actual health bar, where Dani listens to her customers’ ailments and creates custom herb blends to soothe and heal them.
A lot of people in the community Dani found could not access regular healthcare for one reason or another, so the Compton Health Bar is the only solution for many. Dani does not take this responsibility lightly and is really leaving her mark on Compton.
