Spring cleaning is a super common event that happens every year just as spring is beginning. But, if you feel like you’ve done enough with the standard spring cleaning tasks, why not try some of these more unusual but still important things.
Washing Machine
A lot of people don’t know this, but you actually need to clean the inside of your washing machine at least once a year! This is because a lot of bacteria can form on the inside and in the drum, which means your clothes aren’t actually getting that clean. To remedy it, pour baking soda into the soup tray and vinegar into the drum. Run on high heat twice, and your washing machine is set!
Plants
A lot of times plants can actually get dirty, and not in the way you think. Dust can accumulate on the leaves of your plants, so make sure to clean them! Wipe the leaves of your plants to get rid of the dust and show your plants some love.
Doorknobs
Doorknobs can be really germy places since a lot of people are putting their hands all over it. Especially at the end of cold and flu season, you don’t want those germs being carried over into spring. Take disinfectant spray and clean all the handles and doorknobs in your house, including the refrigerator door.
