Victoria Beckham has made the decision to stop using exotic skins in all collections.

Victoria Beckham’s luxury brand previously vowed against using animal furs in her collections. Now, she has made the compassionate decision to ban the use of exotic skins in her collections as well.

The brand announced in a statement: “Victoria Beckham will cease the use of exotic skins in all collections as of AW19. The Victoria Beckham brand has never used fur in its clothing or accessories collections and confirmed last year that the brand will remain fur-free.”

The director of PETA, Elisa Allen has acknowledged the statement and urges other brands to do the same.

“Behind every crocodile, alligator, snake, or lizard handbag or pair of shoes is a violent death,” Allen said. “Victoria Beckham’s decision to ban exotic skins will spare countless remarkable animals immense suffering, and PETA calls on other luxury brands to follow her kind example.”
