It’s the end of a new, exciting fashion month, and what better way to celebrate than with a fabulous Chanel RTW Spring 2020 collection. Inspired by the Nouvelle Vague, Virginie Viard debuted her first ready-to-wear line for the brand.

The designer brought a breath of fresh air, introducing more youthful vibes while also keeping the signature Chanel mark and fabrics.

“I thought about Kristen Stewart playing Jean Seberg and all the actresses Gabrielle Chanel dressed at that time,” Viard told WWD about her inspiration.

She made sure to honor the legacy of Karl, but also leave her own creative direction for the label. The main fabric you’ll see is obviously tweed mixed with bold denim. When it comes to color, according to Chanel we’ll be wearing a lot of blue, red, white, black, grey and pink next spring.

Virginie set the Chanel RTW Spring 2020 collection in Grand Palais, where she recreated a Parisian rooftop. Models strutted the unique runway, flaunting the chic rompers, dresses, tweed suits, shorts, and fabulous jackets.

But that’s not all! During the final walk, the French YouTube comedian Marie Benoliel decided to join the models. The catwalk crasher was escorted by the amazing Gigi Hadid and eventually taken off stage.
