What Type of Fridge Works Best for You and Your Kitchen?

There are so many different types of refrigerators out there, and whether you have to buy a new one or just want to upgrade your kitchen for fun to something new, there’s a lot to choose from. Use this guide to help you out, but don’t forget, if your old fridge is still in decent condition, look to donate it to a local charity or NGO!

French Door

This is one of the nicer and generally more expensive kinds. However, if you have the means and want the effect of having two fridge doors to open, as well as the pull-out freezer drawer, this might be right for you.

With the door to the fridge and freezer each side by side, you can see where this type gets its name. This is great if you need a slightly thinner appliance.

Top Freezer

This is generally the most basic and economic fridge. The freezer is on top of the fridge and usually won’t have too many bells and whistles. But, if you’re just looking for simplicity, this is the fridge for you.

Bottom Freezer

This fridge has the freezer as a pull out drawer, or sometimes individual drawers inside the freezer, just below the fridge. But, if you have back problems, this probably isn’t for you as you have to bend down often.
