Broccoli is listed as one of the least loved vegetables, especially amongst children, However, the truth is that this cruciferous green has many great health benefits; it is a great source of vitamin A, C, K and B9, it is full of folate, potassium and fiber. Ingredients:
- 1 broccoli head
- 3 tbs olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 garlic cloves
- ½ cup white vine
- 2 cups of heavy cream
- 50 gr smoked cheese
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
Fill a bigger pot with water, add a pinch of salt and leave it to boil. Then, broke the broccoli heads into smaller flowers, put them into the water and leave it to cook for 4-5 minutes. When the broccoli is ready, rinse it immediately with cold water to keep its vibrant green color.
Heat the oil in a frying pan, add the broccoli and let it fry for about 2 minutes. Sprinkle the thyme, the rosemary, the salt, and the pepper. Dine it for 1-2 minutes, add the chopped garlic, pour the vine and leave it until it evaporates. In the end, add the heavy cream and the cheese. Let it all cook for a couple of minutes and voila! Your broccoli is ready. You can serve it with freshly cooked pasta.
