Destination Wedding Do’s and Don’t’s

For every wedding, there are always do’s and don’t’s, but for destination weddings, it becomes a little trickier. Let this guide help you in your planning so you can have the trip of your dreams and ensure your guests have a wonderful time as well.

Don’t Accept Presents

If you know airfare and or accommodation are going to be pricey for people, tell them that you are not accepting presents and that their presence is enough. If people really want to contribute something, do create a list of organizations you want people do donate to in your name.

Do Organize Group Activities

Since a lot of people will be traveling from all over the place, it’s important to find time for everyone to get together. Plan at least communal activity everyday so you can make sure the whole party comes together before and after the big day. This can be meals, excursions, or even just a happy hour.

Don’t Send Invitations Out Late

When people are traveling far, they need a lot of notice. Make sure you that you send save the dates or even the invitations themselves with plenty of time for people to get plane tickets and accomdations.
