Preparing your food in advance and storing it in the freezer is a great way to save time and money. However, there are foods you should keep far away from your freezer if you don’t want to create a mess or, even worse, cause potential health issues. Here’s a list of foods you shouldn’t keep in the freezer.
Fried Food
Unless you want to end up with a mushy and soggy mess in your freezer (of course you don’t), avoid storing fried food in your freezer.
Milk
It’s perfectly safe to freeze milk, but it’s going to be lumpy once you thaw it, which is not very tasty to drink in the end.
Beer
We’re not sure why would anyone freeze a beer unless you maybe want to cool it faster. Nevertheless, you should know that freezing accelerates the aging of beer, so it won’t taste very good once you drink it.
Fruits or vegetables
High water concentration is the reason why any fruit or vegetable shouldn’t be stored in a freezer.
Soft cheese
Same as with milk, soft cheeses will change their texture when stored in a freezer, so you probably wouldn’t like to eat them afterward.
