Instead of going out and buying all new items for each room, see if you can switch around some objects or pieces of furniture around your house. If you do decide you need some new items, go for things that are antique or second hand. This greatly cuts down or resources and waste, and will also guarantee that whatever you buy will be totally unique. Also, buying second hand is normally a lot cheaper than buying new, which is always a plus.
Save Materials
If you decide you want to paint a room and you buy a plastic tarp, brushes, and more, make sure to properly clean and store everything so they can be used again! There’s no point in throwing everything away and buying the same things again if you decided to paint something else a few months or even a year later.
