Whether you’re a makeup novice or a seasoned makeup master, there are several ways of applying eyeshadow, depending on the look you want. Here are some eyeshadow looks for everyone.

Beginner

Using a light wash of color across the whole eyelid is a great look for eyeshadow newbies, as well as for anyone who wants a casual look.

Apply with a brush or applicator, sticking close to the lash line. Blend upwards with your ring finger or a blending brush into the crease. Use a light touch.

Intermediate

Create a halo effect by patting shadow on the outer and inner parts of the mobile lid, and then place highlighter in the center of the lid. This is particularly beautiful for evening.

Advanced

Using bold color is more difficult than it seems. You want to create dimension, not a flat look, and you can do that by layering your products. Start off near the lash line with a creamy eyeshadow, blending it upwards.

Then layer with a different cream shadow in a shade that is fairly similar to the first one. Blend again. Layer with a powder shadow in a similar shade at the center of the eye.
