Pre-Spring Care for Your Hair

Gorgeous hair is the key for looking and feeling beautiful every day. When your hair is healthy, voluminous, and doesn’t have split ends, you don’t need too much time or effort to get ready in the morning.

When planning a haircare routine, it’s important to take the current season into consideration. Hair changes over the year and it’s usually like this – it grows faster in the spring, can fall out more in the fall, and stagnates during winter and summer. Here’s how to make it look amazing in between winter and spring.

Your hair doesn’t like winter very much. Cold weather, dry air inside, and hats can all damage your hair, leaving it lifeless before the spring arrives. In order to fix the consequences of the winter, the first thing you need to do is to watch what you eat. Make sure you’re eating plenty of vegetables that will give you all the needed vitamins and minerals for your hair and the rest of your body.

Now is the time to use mild shampoos and hydrating conditioners. Massage the shampoo into your scalp and don’t repeat shampooing if not necessary. Try to wait as long as you can in-between washes.

Go for a trim and make sure to cut enough so that you’re left with healthy hair. Don’t worry, it will grow out faster than you think. If you’ve been thinking about changing your hair color, spring is a great time for that!
