How to Remove Dry, Flaky Skin from your Face

Here is a great little remedy to remove that dry, flaky skin from your face. If you overdo the moisturizer, your face looks too shiny. If you exfoliate too much, your skin becomes irritated and you can make matters worse.

And as all of those with dry skin know, nothing is more frustrating than applying foundation, only to dredge up clusters of dry flakes. So, what do you do?

Makeup artists agree that all you need is some scotch tape. After you have applied your moisturizer in the morning, take a piece of scotch tape and press it onto a flaky area of skin. Pull it off gently and the skin comes with it. Dab at all the flakes around your eyes and nose, just as though you were using a lint brush.  Now you can apply your foundation to smooth skin. Skip any powder because it will dry out your face.

The reason why a piece of scotch tape works so well is that it removes the flakes without affecting the rest of your skin. This is a much gentler approach than exfoliating your whole face. And who doesn’t have some scotch tape sitting in a drawer somewhere?
