The hairstyle was a tribute to the late #SharonTate, who Robbie plays in her new movie “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Tate wore the very same hairstyle to #Cannes back in 1968.

Robbie actually used her hairstyle to pay tribute to Sharon Tate, who she plays in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The late actress wore identical braided style when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in 1968, one year before her tragic death.
