Pants

Almost any pair of pants, especially jeans, can be turned into shorts for the summer!

Just take any pants you’re not crazy about and try them on. Mark how long or short you want them to be with a little pen or marker. Cut them straight across and you have a brand new pair of shorts!

Shirt Dress

In the summer months, there’s no better time to rock the classic shirtdress look. You can easily dress it down or dress it up, and all you need is a large button down shirt, to begin with!

First, cut off the long sleeves either at the hem or further up if you want to be a skinner top. You can either leave or cut off the collar depending on your style, and then it’s done! Belt it for a more tailored look or leave it as is for a comfy, flowy dress.

]]> If you know what it’s like to pull a garment out of the dryer only to realize that it can now fit your dog instead of you, you probably want to know if there’s anything you can do to unshrink it. There are some tricks and we’re sharing them with you today, although it’s not guaranteed they will work every time.

Before it even happens, know that you should be extra careful with fabrics like cotton and wool. Garments with loose construction are more likely to shrink. Don’t be surprised if your favorite knitted sweater becomes much smaller after drying because it has enough empty room to go more compact.

If an accident happens, what can you do? You can try stretching it out by washing it with mild soap, gently rinsing and leaving to air-dry. For t-shirts and other cotton items, try this method:

  • Fill a basin with warm water and add 3 tablespoons of hair conditioner.
  • Soak the shirt for five minutes.
  • Rinse and stretch it out on a flat surface.
  • Use heavy objects to keep it stretched until it dries.

18-year-old Chloe Martin from Glasgow was done being frustrated by not being able to just walk into a store and buy jeans she likes. She tweeted a photo showing several pairs of jeans in the same size from different high-street brands. And you know what, they surely don’t look like they are in the same size!

“Incase you’ve ever wondered why women get so frustrated with our clothing sizes – every pair of jeans pictured, is a size 12,” Chloe wrote.

This just proves that there are no universal rules when it comes to clothing sizes, so you shouldn’t be intimidated by the numbers the next time you go shopping. You may find your best fit where you least expect it.

My grandfather Valdemar was one suave looking cat back in 1955. He was a member of the Danish resistance during WWII, infiltrating behind enemy lines and sabotaged bridges controlled by the nazis. He and his squad eventually got caught by the Gestapo and sent to a prison camp. They made plans for an escape but when it was time, for some reason, my grandfather decided not to go through with it. The next morning he was faced with his dead comrades laying on the ground in the prison yard. I think he struggled with feelings of guilt his whole life because of that and he was overall very reluctant to talk about the war. That’s why this story is so short on details, i only know most of these things because of what my father told me. ]]> If you know what it’s like to pull a garment out of the dryer only to realize that it can now fit your dog instead of you, you probably want to know if there’s anything you can do to unshrink it. There are some tricks and we’re sharing them with you today, although it’s not guaranteed they will work every time.

Before it even happens, know that you should be extra careful with fabrics like cotton and wool. Garments with loose construction are more likely to shrink. Don’t be surprised if your favorite knitted sweater becomes much smaller after drying because it has enough empty room to go more compact.

If an accident happens, what can you do? You can try stretching it out by washing it with mild soap, gently rinsing and leaving to air-dry. For t-shirts and other cotton items, try this method:

  • Fill a basin with warm water and add 3 tablespoons of hair conditioner.
  • Soak the shirt for five minutes.
  • Rinse and stretch it out on a flat surface.
  • Use heavy objects to keep it stretched until it dries.

]]> As most women would agree, there’s nothing more painful when it comes to fashion than having to buy jeans. Going around the stores, trying to find that perfect pair that fits your body just right is often a mission impossible. Why? One Twitter user perfectly explained it in just one photo.

18-year-old Chloe Martin from Glasgow was done being frustrated by not being able to just walk into a store and buy jeans she likes. She tweeted a photo showing several pairs of jeans in the same size from different high-street brands. And you know what, they surely don’t look like they are in the same size!

“Incase you’ve ever wondered why women get so frustrated with our clothing sizes – every pair of jeans pictured, is a size 12,” Chloe wrote.

This just proves that there are no universal rules when it comes to clothing sizes, so you shouldn’t be intimidated by the numbers the next time you go shopping. You may find your best fit where you least expect it.

My grandfather Valdemar was one suave looking cat back in 1955. He was a member of the Danish resistance during WWII, infiltrating behind enemy lines and sabotaged bridges controlled by the nazis. He and his squad eventually got caught by the Gestapo and sent to a prison camp. They made plans for an escape but when it was time, for some reason, my grandfather decided not to go through with it. The next morning he was faced with his dead comrades laying on the ground in the prison yard. I think he struggled with feelings of guilt his whole life because of that and he was overall very reluctant to talk about the war. That’s why this story is so short on details, i only know most of these things because of what my father told me.
