]]> Just hearing the word “concealer” makes a lot of people cringe. This is mainly because concealers, when applied, usually settle in the lines and creases under the eyes. Because of this, anyone who has dark circles under the eyes doesn’t want to use this product.

Of course, this doesn’t have to be the case. In fact, you can apply concealer to hide those dark circles and all you need are 3 simple steps!

1. Draw the guidelines

With a small concealer brush, draw a letter “V” under your eyes. For best results, use a creamy concealer with hydrating properties. Then don’t fill the middle of the guidelines. Also, don’t connect the lines to form a triangle. This will make the area look cakey or heavy.

If you've ever used under eye concealer to… ya know, conceal, but felt like it actually just highlighted your dark circles, you're not alone. It's probably because you're only covering the dark part. I know. That does make sense. Until you consider that you're actually trying to make it seem like the same color as the skin beneath it, to visually lift it. To achieve this, you should apply concealer in a triangle that extends down to the top of your cheek, and just out past the outside corner of your eye. 2. Blend it

Use a small, damp sponge to blend the concealer. Dab and roll your sponge inwards until you’ve seamlessly filled the area in.

3. Set the concealer

This step is important so your concealer won’t slide off or settle into the fine lines under your eyes. Use a translucent powder to set your concealer lightly.

With a clean and fluffy eyeshadow brush, gently swirl and sweep the area under your eyes until you’ve blended the loose powder completely.
