For dips like 7 layer dip where you really want to see the layer, a glass pie dish is a perfect vessel! Not only is wide so people can dip chips easily into it, but you want everyone to be able to see those beautiful delicious layers!

Quiche

Quiche is such a yummy treat to have, especially for events like brunch or luncheons. Quiche couldn’t be easier to make, especially if you have a pie plate! All you have to do is put down a store bought crust, fill it with a mixture of eggs, veggies, and cheese, and then bake it to perfection.

Mixing vintage and handmade is one of my favorite ways to style a table (or home, or wardrobe). This simple trick creates such rich layers of texture, colors and storytelling in a single glance. How do you feel about mixing and matching? Are you a confident mixer or a hesitant sideliner who realllllly wants to take the mixing plunge but just isn’t sure how to get started? I want to hear from you! Buying vintage is second nature to me but I know it stumps a lot of people. ]]> All those dishwasher soaps available in markets can contain so many chemicals. If you love DIY recipes, you can always try our natural dishwasher detergent. Read the recipe below, and you’ll see how great it is.

Ingredients:

For this natural liquid dishwasher detergent, you’ll need the following ingredients: 1/2 cup Borax, 1 cup water, 1 cup salt, 10 drops grapefruit essential oil, 1/2 cup washing soda, 5 drops thyme essential oil. As you can see all of them are harmless and very easy to find.

We feel like we run our dishwasher every day…because we do! We love to meal prep, DIY, and experiment in the kitchen and that leads to lots of dirty dishes. Anyone else feel our pain? And when we were using the detergent pods, we were having to run the dishwasher twice as much because half the time it didn't fully burst and we had to start all over! . So finally we decided to make our own liquid detergent. No more wondering if we are wasting time or will have to run the load again. . We chose Grapefruit and Thyme for this particular batch, and it's fun to switch it up each time! Instructions:

After you get all the ingredients, find a jar or a bottle where you’ll keep the dishwasher detergent. Also get a large bowl, to prepare it in. Pour all the ingredients in the bowl and mix them to get a nice consistency. Try to break up all the clumps that will form. They will not affect the efficiency of the detergent at all. Pour it in the jar, and cover it with a lid. The recommended dose is two tablespoons for every load. Keep it in a dark and cool spot. That is probably the fastest DIY recipe you’ve ever seen. Now you don’t have to worry about chemicals anymore. Instead, wash your dishes with a natural product that also has an amazing smell.
