]]>During his tenure as Chanel’s creative director, Lagerfeld would always close out the haute couture shows with bridal dresses. It was a true honor to walk the runway in one of Chanel’s white gowns, with Inès de La Fressange and Claudia Schiffer putting this trend on the map.
Dua Lipa did the best job bringing this classic runway trend to the Met Gala by rocking Chanel’s vintage tweed gown, originally worn by Claudia Schiffer in 1995. Gisele Bündchen was another star wearing vintage Chanel, but her 2007 gown was much more contemporary than Lipa’s
Kim Kardashian put her twist on this trend by wearing Schiaparelli’s pearly gown—another of Lagerfeld’s all-time signatures. Rihanna also looked positively bridal in Valentino’s floral white gown, following in the footsteps of Florence Pugh, who also wore a white Valentino dress.
Anne Hathaway delivered one of the best looks of the night in a Versace gown, which featured tweed, pearls, and safety pins. Many more celebrities hit the red carpet in white, from Mindy Kaling and Halle Bailey to Penelope Cruz and Ava Max, and here are some of their best looks.

After seeing the Resort 2020, we can definitely conclude that Chanel’s designs still feature that timeless class that Lagerfeld was so dedicated to preserving.
The line was presented in the infamous Grand Palais, a very common setting for Chanel. The label decided to take their audience through a very colorful journey of shades, materials, and cuts. The room was transformed into a train station, to depict that feeling of adventure.
The one thing we have to admit is that Viard stayed faithful to Coco and Karl’s visions for the brand, but did also include her personal signature in the 79 runway looks. The new Chanel girl still dresses up in tweed but is even more feminine and bold.
