Chef Nosrat is an Iranian-American chef that got her start at Chez Panisse, and since then she has taken on the world, including winning the James Beard Award for General Cooking. The show delves into the world of cooking through the lens of four elements: salt, fat, acid, and heat, and it is completely addictive.

What is so great about the show is that Samin travels all around the world to show the viewers the best examples of each element, and how to apply it in their own kitchen. She does this by cooking with some masters of different dishes, as well as cooking in her own kitchen with friends and family, taking you step by step through the process.

Food is a great way to learn about culture and history, and the show transcends beyond just eating to these topics. Watching the show you learn about the methodology of things like picking olives, how soy sauce is supposed to be made, and even how people make salt. All in all, it’s a slam dunk of a show.

🎥 Macie swój ukochany serial, do którego zawsze wracacie? A może obejrzeliście ostatnio coś ciekawego i chcielibyście podzielić się swoimi serialowymi odkryciami w komentarzu? 😁 . Ja od zawsze powtarzam, że w pewnym sensie wychowałam się na ,,Pamiętnikach Wampirów" i do teraz są one moją największą miłością 👄 Kiedyś znałam nawet na pamięć każdy jeden odcinek 3 pierwszych sezonów (które swoją drogą nawet teraz prezentują się mistrzowsko – cała fabuła, retrospekcje z XIX wieku, mroczny klimat i genialny soundtrack). ]]> Salt Fat Acid Heat is a new four-part documentary series on Netflix that mirrors that book with the same title written by the host of the show, Samin Nosrat. Chef Nosrat is an Iranian-American chef that got her start at Chez Panisse, and since then she has taken on the world, including winning the James Beard Award for General Cooking. The show delves into the world of cooking through the lens of four elements: salt, fat, acid, and heat, and it is completely addictive.

What is so great about the show is that Samin travels all around the world to show the viewers the best examples of each element, and how to apply it in their own kitchen. She does this by cooking with some masters of different dishes, as well as cooking in her own kitchen with friends and family, taking you step by step through the process.

Food is a great way to learn about culture and history, and the show transcends beyond just eating to these topics. Watching the show you learn about the methodology of things like picking olives, how soy sauce is supposed to be made, and even how people make salt. All in all, it’s a slam dunk of a show.
