]]>Even though it’s often called a reading “corner”, that doesn’t mean you have to put it in a corner of a room. Just make sure it’s close to a source of natural light, like a window or a balcony door. ]]>Making yourself a reading nook is so easy but important if you love books. Especially while it’s still cold outside, there’s nothing better than snuggling up with a great book and a delicious hot drink. If you want to turn some unused space into special magical, make yourself a reading nook!
If you have space under a window, why not make that into a reading nook! All you have to do is get or build a bench and slide it under the window. Then, cover it in a long cushion, add in some extra pillows and a blanket and you’re ready to get to reading. You can also add in plants to the window sill or on the bench itself if you have room to give it an even better atmosphere.
If you don’t have a specific corner of the house, you can always make a reading nook right on the floor. A great way to do that is by buying a thin mattress from somewhere like IKEA or just getting a long cushion. Put it on the floor with loads of pillows, blankets, and frame it with some fairy lights and you’re ready to read!
