Red hair looks gorgeous – for a couple of days after you dye it. Then it begins to make you miserable as you can see it rinsing off wash after wash. How do you keep your red hair on for a longer time?

Here are some things you can do to help your hair stay red longer between dyes. These habits are simple to implement, anyone can do it!

If you implement all these tips, you can expect your red hair to be prettier than ever in no time!

Wash your hair less often

The math is simple – the more time between washes, the longer the dye will stay on your hair. Try squeezing in a day more between two washes and you’ll quickly see the effect.

Nourish your hair

Hair masks are your friends. You need to pay special attention to dyed hair and hydrate it with a rich mask once or twice a week so it won’t break and look dry.

UV protection

It’s important to protect your hair from the sun, especially if you dye it. Sun can make it change color and it will be difficult to go back to the original color later.

Avoid heat

Red hair doesn’t like heating devices. Limit the use of straightener and curler as much as you can.
