Contouring is an important part of learning how to apply makeup properly. However, when you think about highlighting and contouring, you would immediately think of makeup that’s caked-on through a bunch of complicated steps. If you’re a newbie to makeup, you won’t even try to do this!

Don’t give up so easily though because highlighting and contouring is actually very easy. You can even do it in just 2 simple steps and with 2 simple products. So if you have 3 minutes to spare every morning, you can easily highlight and contour your face subtly. Read on to learn how:

1. Chisel your face

No, you don’t need tools for this step! What you do need, is a contour brush that’s fluffy. Swirl the brush over a bronzer then tap off any excess. After that, sweep the contour brush under your cheekbones and over your temples gently. Make sure that you blend the bronzer into your skin seamlessly. You can do this by swirling the contour brush lightly. Use concentric movements and go back and forth over the C-shape you’ve made.

2. Add the highlight

Use your ring finger over a shimmery highlighter. Then lightly dab and tap your finger over your cheekbones. Blend the highlighter until you don’t see any lines. It’s as easy as that!
